    13 IFC Seoul participates in an campaign, Earth Hour 2014-06-23

    IFC Seoul participates in an eco-friendly global campaign, “Earth Hour”

    Seoul (March 19, 2013) - IFC Seoul(www.ifcseoul.com) will participate in “Earth Hour”, which is an environment-friendly global campaign, as a part of saving the earth together.
     
    This is the second year that IFC Seoul has participated in this campaign. In addition to turning the lights of three office building (One IFC, Two IFC and Three IFC) off, public light systems at Conrad Seoul and IFC Mall will be turned off or dimmed up to 20% of lightness. Unnecessary lights will be turned off or down and part of lights at restaurant and bars will be replaced with candle lights.
     
    Earth Hour has been initiated by WWF(World Wildlife Fund) in Sydney, Australia, in 2007 in order to create a worldwide awareness of how serious the climate change caused from global warming is. Under this campaign, Millions of people around the world switch off their lights from 8.30pm(20:30) to 9:30pm(21:30) in their local times on the last Saturday of March each year. Especially, Seoul Metropolitan Government that saved 2.3 billion KRW by participating in the campaign last year was awarded a letter of appreciation from the organization.
