IFC Seoul holds Actress Kang, Yewon’s oil paintings exhibition
- IFC Seoul holds regular exhibitions to encourage local cultural activities
- Art Project, one of its social contribution programs exhibits works at One IFC Lobby
- Last year, it held Actress-artist Kang, Yewon’s 2nd private exhibition following Artist Lee, Sangyong’s
IFC Seoul (International Financial Centre Seoul), a landmark representing Yeouido, announced on 11th of this month that it would hold Actress-painter Kang, Yewon’s 2nd oil paintings exhibition in its One IFC Lobby for a month as an art project to encourage local cultural activities.
IFC Seoul has pushed ahead its continual projects to encourage local cultural activities such as exhibiting renowned painters’ works in its One IFC Lobby since last year, and offering free space to talented painters who need exhibition space as one of its social contribution programs.
This year, it is going to give new inspiration and stimulus to visitors to IFC Seoul via culture revealed in Actress Kang, Yewon’s 2nd private exhibition; ‘I AM MYSELF’. Her exhibition this time focusing on expressing her inner world, and influences coming from the outside has tried to show the feelings she gets as an actress and human. Besides, she has spent lots of time making her works embody human loneliness, solitude, frictions, and anxiety as they are.
Executive director of AIG Korean Real Estate Development, An, Hyejoo said, “Continual Mecenat activities of IFC Seoul will provide IFC Seoul and Yeouido with a chance to leap into a financial hub and a chance to enjoy high quality culture” and “it will not spare its effort to exhibit varied works of new artists as well as renowned ones to encourage local cultural activities”
Meanwhile, IFC Seoul got favorable comments by exhibiting ‘Fate’ works of Artist Lee, Sangyong who had held his private exhibitions domestically and in New York, and had been recognized for
his influence and artistry as painter and inking slab artist.
